Sober Softball

Organized, structured sports and on-going physical activity can provide many health benefits.
Playing sports with a goal in mind not only teaches team-work, but also teaches how to effectively communicate and problem solve together. It is also a natural way to let go of stress while building self-confidence at the same time.
That’s why, Bodhi Casa hosts a sober softball game every Tuesday and Thursday evening following a twelve-step meeting at the South Bay Alano Club. What started out as a pick-up game in 2010 has grown to a weekly event in which members of the community partake in. The softball game has been a great opportunity for the men not only to get physical exercise but also for creating stronger bonds in sobriety with themselves and their peers.
