FAMILIES

Letter to Parents

Dear Parents,
If you’ve found your way here, chances are you’re worried—and you’ve been carrying that worry for a long time. Maybe you’ve tried everything. Maybe you’re exhausted. Maybe you’re still hopeful, but unsure what the next step should be. We understand, at Bodhi Casa, many of us are also parents. All of us have walked alongside families just like yours—through crisis, transition, and, ultimately, change.

What we know is this: healing doesn’t happen in isolation. Young adults don’t grow in a vacuum, and neither do families. That’s why everything we do is grounded in connection—between mentors, residents, community, families, and the process. We don’t promise perfection, but we do promise to walk with you.

Your son doesn’t have to do this alone—and neither do you.

At Bodhi Casa, your loved one will find structure, routine, and the kind of support that doesn’t just hold them accountable but helps them rise. They’ll be surrounded by people who genuinely care. People who model what it looks like to take ownership of their lives. People who show up.

We also support you—the family—because we know that healing is relational. When parents engage, learn, and grow alongside their child, the impact is lasting. You’ll have access to family therapy, weekly updates, parent coaching, and trusted resources like NAMI and Al-Anon. You’ll have a team that believes in honest, consistent communication.

There’s no single formula for healing. But there is a path forward—and we’d be honored to help your family walk it.

With respect and warmth,
Stefan Kocev and The Bodhi Casa Team

Encouragement for Parents

This is hard work. We see you. Your participation matters—not as rescuers, but as partners in growth. As families evolve alongside their loved one—practicing boundaries, communicating clearly, and cultivating self-care—long-term outcomes improve for everyone.

“If you have questions or are wondering whether Bodhi Casa might be the right next step, we’re here to talk. There’s no pressure—just a conversation.”
